Got this working. Make sure you do all the standard Rapbian stuff before running the installer. So:
- Set new password
- Expand File System
- Set Locale
- Set Time zone
- Wait for network
- Update and upgrade
Once I did that all went well. It was mentioned in instructions. Hope this helps.
