Raspberry pi : boot from NFS?

Has anyone already tried to boot hass.io over TFTP/NFS ? With raspberry 3 this is now possible out of the box (see https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/hardware/raspberrypi/bootmodes/net.md)
My idea is to put the whole set of files on my NAS, having there an SSD that should show less wear than the SD card in the pi, and would also allow me to easily backup the whole thing

This has already worked fine for my volkszaehler.org setup, but I’m a bit concerned about the multi-partition layering system from hass.io - will it auto-detect that the root is on NFS and move on with mounting through NFS ?

Thanks

I’m not sure about hassos, however you can use a regular raspbian image, and install hassio on that with the official installation script. That way you would not be changing the underlying system.

you’re right, worked perfectly
thanks
