Hello, Developers I have a Raspberry pie 4 I have installed home assistant in to it through SSD it is working fine for a month but suddenly it stopped working like it is not showing anything on LCD and internet port is not working I do not know why so I thought may be the issue with the IC of raspberry pie is burnt due to the heat because I do not have a heat sink or a fan so I bought a new one yesterday with the case and fan and I then started the setup of home Assistant so it run perfectly for only 5 minutes and suddenly it stopped displaying and did the same with the old raspberry pie. I am really upset so please help me what I can do to make this machine run perfectly.
Thank you
Regards
did you reboot the system?
Which RPi you are using and which SSD?
YES I did everything like change the sd card or ssd memory like but no progress.
I am using RPI 4 with 8 gp of ram
which SSD?
Do you have a spare SD-card? try booting off it. Using another OS e.g raspbian.
In SSD I have home assistant image installed and every data of my home assistant in the SSD.
SSD brand, model, and size?
You didn’t do a backup?
man how I can do a backup if the RPI doesn’t show anything on LCD? there is a backup in home assistant but I can go and click the backup?
Backups always involve 3-2-1 rule. You need an off-site backup, or in case of HA backup to another NAS or in the cloud.
I personally use these 2
For local backup to NAS
https://github.com/sabeechen/hassio-google-drive-backup
and for cloud backup to google drive
Do you mean your backup is on the same SSD on which you installed HA?
Is it Adata SSD?
yes it ADATA SSD. and the backup is in the ssd.
can you boot from the SD to any raspberry pi OS? e.g HA, raspbian or anything?
yes I have booted the new RPI with new sd card with new home assistant setup but not working it will work for 5 minutes and then suddenly nothing is display.
No, I cannot boot the new OS raspbian.
HA doesn’t display anything on LCD except for the console.
You are from Pakistan?
no I am from US, please tell me what can I do.
ADATA SSD is prone to such issues.
First, you need to check whether the raspberry pi is working or not.
Flash and install HAOS onto an SD card. Boot from that SD card. wait for the initiation. and report back
Nothing is displayed where?
On the LCD my friend
LCD is attached to the RPi via HDMI? Any screenshots or monitor shots will make it a lot easier for us to figure out the issue.
