Raspberry with SSD to old PC

Hello guys,

My installation is getting a bit slow and laggy because of the low memory in the Raspi 3B+. I have installed Home Assistant as the operating system and boot off it. So, there is no SD card in the Raspi. Now, I want to upgrade my hardware to my old PC (i7 3770k). So now my question is, can I just plug the SSD into the PC and boot off it? Or will this not work because the architecture of these two CPUs is different? And/or do the drivers automatically upgrade?

Thx for the answeres

It will not work because the system architectures are very different. Do a full backup on the old system and restore it to the new system. Most of the config is architecture independent. You may have to redefine some system sensors if you have them, like cpu temperature.

thx for this quick reply. my biggest worry is duck dns and all the things that are dependent on this. like the static ip. when i understand you right you mean these things will work again after a backup (just like if i have done the restore on the same raspi).

all these network stuff is pretty complex to me, rest i will figure out i guess xD
