Sorry if a dumb question.

I have a ratgdo for my garage and my garage system has sensors to sense an obstruction.

Do I need a HA automation to stop the garage from closing if an obstruction is sensed? Or does the garage door system itself still do that despite ratgdo being connected?

I’m at work and can’t test it manually, so I thought I’d check here. Thanks!

the opener will still act appropriately when the obstruction sensor is tripped.

HA sends a message to your garage system that would be similar to using the system’s remote control. As such if there is an obstruction the door will not close.
