Re-authorizing/updating credentials for Integrations

I would like an option for Integrations which allows for updating of credentials. I may be missing something, but the only solution I have ever found is to delete and recreate the integrations with the updated credentials.

With security one of the fundamental backbones of HA, hackers become more proficient, and a new security incident with username/passwords being exposed almost daily this should be a critical addition to HA.

In addition, in most cases HA picks up the new device after deleting the old and recreating the integration, BUT in some cases you have to fix all your automations, scripts, etc. which is almost impossible for large installations.

Shout out to @wkearney99 for this discussion prompting me to submit this request after just dealing with it in the past.

+1 on this issue. I have a dozen cameras and was unpleasantly surprised to see the integration asking me all over again for their room placements. I didn’t have anything else accessing them, at least not in a meaningful way, but it’d sure have been a pain in the butt digging through a lot of things to reconnect the dots.

I just ran into a similar hassle the other day in a Homeseer setup, where some devices had gone missing and rediscovery used different reference IDs for them, It was a real chore slogging through a dozen events cleaning up the mess.

Doesn’t take too many of these little ‘quality of life’ inconveniences to make regular people give up on automation.
