I have a number of appliances that use 7-segment displays to show time remaining for various things. Think something like a dishwasher or washing machine displaying minutes remaining on a wash cycle. I realize there are 7-segment OCR readers, but I’m wondering if there is a more direct way to accomplish this. Is there any possibility that an ESP32 could decode the signal output to these displays to read the information shown?
