Every value which is tied with measurement (sensors for example) is related to a timestamp. But Home assistant, does not take this into account to reduce the load of the communication bus.
When you need some “real time” features as for example a low pass filter, it would be usefull to have an attribute (easy to implement) in order to process a low pass filter as it should be (not based on value change, but based on sampling).
This would be true obiously for utility meters also. But also for all real time filters.
I dream of such a feature !
