I create a complete clone backup stored on a NAS. It takes less than 2 minutes. I have been using http://www.virtuallyghetto.com/tag/ghettovcb for maybe 9 years.
I used that in the past as well but now I got all the tools anyway … I prefer snapshots over clones - I only clone if really necessary … but thanks for the reminder 
Snapshots don’t protect anything. They will cause issues if overused.
never had any issues but I use veeam enterprise plus in my farm anyway
