Recently started having issues where automations work work properly for various reasons

I’ve been having weird issues for a few months now and I have no idea why. It seems like any complex automation I try to make with multiple Trigger ID’s won’t work properly anymore. But let me give some detailed explanations about what I mean.

First example, I have an automation where I have a presence sensor zone on my bed. But I have two different triggers with different times and conditions. Despite the fact that only 1 should work, they both trigger. On top of that the light turns on, then off, then on again despite me only setting it to turn on once.

Another weird issue is one that involved a motion sensor turning on a fan when I step on my treadmill. But for some reason when the motion sensor detects me it fails to turn on the fan and it turns off the garage light. I can get this to work if I create a separate automation for it. But on top of that I have to set it to clear to turn on the fan and detect to turn off despite the actions of the motion sensor being the complete opposite of the automation.

Sorry, I know that was a lot of words. But as a non technical user, I’m really lost. And I wanted to make it clear that this isn’t as simple mistake I’m making. I had no issues for years until recently. Updating to new firmware doesn’t change anything. I’ve checked my Trigger ID’s and conditions so many times and everything is correct. But still, automations with more complexity are not working properly for various reasons. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe if you showed the automation, we could look at it.

The trace timeline part? Here are a few examples.

I’ll screenshot other things if needed, I just don’t know what I need to screenshot. Admittedly I don’t really understand how to read this stuff and I never had to learn before because everything just worked.

Please follow Community Questions Guideline #11 & 14 by posting the automation’s YAML configuration.

When I look at the automations in YAML and the Automation Config section, it looks quite a bit different then the example I’m seeing in the link. I see all these number and letter combinations and it’s not spaced like the examples. Feels like posting it would just look like a bunch of nonsense. I guess I’ll just drop this for now and test other things and do a bit more research to see what I can figure out. Maybe I can make a better post asking for help next time.

The YAML is the actual instructions it is using. The pictures from the UI are both tiny and general descriptions of what is happening, nothing that can be debugged.
