Hi guys, I’m looking for recomendation for 4" downlights.
I started off with dumb downlights with lutron dimmers years ago… but I’ve since upgraded to mostly Hue color ambiant lights and now my entire first floor is smart bulbs. Color Ambiant is the way to go IMO.
The downlights I want to replace are these: Juno 4" Acuity Brands Lighting WF4C
I bought them because 1) they are “compatible” with zigbee2mqtt and 2) it’s basicly the ONLY options for zigbee downlights that are SLIM (for new builds).
These Juno downlights are unfortunatly too unreliable. After about 2 years of living with them & using a smart switch to turn them off I’ve had enough. (their support is basicly non existant and are indenial of any problem, even when I point out that they are on firmware 1.0 while every other manufacturer of any other zigbee device has have multiple fw updates)
I’m OK with going with a WIFI option, I have a smart panel in the kitchen where these will live that I can use to control them. They will mostly be controller via mmW sensor anyways…
Can someone recomend a 4" downlight that is reliable? - or at least a good experience with a brand for a downlight? (I see a bunch on Aliexpress)
I do not want to buy the HUE, they don’t want a 4" slim (just a 5/6")
