Recomended Hub for zwave & ZigBee

Hi Community

I have ordered shelly switches (same as sonoff wifi connected) and have planned to order windowsensor, smoke sensor and shutter control.
WiFi for the shelly i have already a unifi AP.
For the other things i have planned to use zwave hardware but i have see that a window sensor horrendly price of about 50$ have. In the other way a window sensor of xiami only about 10$.

My question now are also;

  • did anyone have this setup of wifi,zwave and zigbee devices and it works reliable ?
  • have it problems with timeouts or latency?
  • is it better to use onboard usb on a rpi3 or a external hub like the samsung smartthings hub v3?

Hey mate,

I use the awesome zigbee2mqtt project found here.

It uses a TI cc sniffer plugged into the USB port of the Pi. Here’s a list of all the supported devices

Thanks, interesting but i search a way to combine zwave and zigbee because i would integrate a WallSwitch like the Aeotec 4 Touch for max. 16 scenes and it’s zwave.
