The truth is that I hate my bluethoot devices, but I have a couple of temperature sensors and two Pax calima fans I can't replace, so I need a reliable and best possible antenna to connect them to HA.
What would you recommend as a dedicated bluethoot antenna that I can connect via PoE. I run HA on proxmox VM.
Theoretically speaking:
You could use a esp32 poe capable board and just make a neat BLE proxy of it.
Or take a esp32 board with ethernet and a POE to usb-cable to power the esp32 with that adapter.
If Ethernet is not absolutely mandatory Id just take a esp32 in wifireach and make a simple Bluetoothproxy of it which would cost a fraction of the solution/s above.
I'm using these as Bluetooth proxies (using ESPHome). PoE and a very good external antenna.
I've also used these in the past. The antenna is internal, and this is more of a development board than a complete package (you'd need a case for it, as an example).
