anyone using a RPi 3B and ditched the integrated controller for a USB controller?
The RPis integrated bluetooth is well known to be troublesome. That does not mean it fails for everyone. But the issues are commonly escalated to forums across the net. Various fixes like reducing baudrate, modifying/updating the SoC drivers and so on…but none are 100% fixing the timeout and comms issues with kernel/userspace and the hardware.
Can anyone who is actually using a bt USB dongle on a RPi without issues for more than a month please let me know what device you are using (and working in HA of course).
