Recommendation for Voltage/Wattage sensing WiFi/Z-wave smart plug?

TL;DR: I need a smart plug that can report voltage or wattage. Preferably operational w/o internet connectivity (i.e. over LAN / mqtt, not reliant on Chinese Servers!).

I came home after a weekend away to find that one of my kids left the space heater on full blast in the basement. Whoops. Time to invest in a smart plug. Anyone have suggestions on something that can report voltage or amperage (and optionally turn it on or off remotely)?

Thanks!

Sonoff S31 reflashed with Tasmota.

Have been looking at that. Thanks!

If you already have z-wave devices, then I recommend Aeotec devices. I’ve been impressed by their quality. They do take some tweaking to get the energy reporting working properly with Home Assistant, but once setup, they work well.

I have a whole-home energy monitor like this to sense overall energy usage:

And several of these power-sensing smart switches on select devices:

Be carefull with sonoff stuff, I used one rated 16 ampère. It fried at 10 ampère.
Firestarters those things.
