Recommendation for water tap control (no cloud)

Hi - looking for a recommendation for a device to go on (or on supply to) an outside tap. This is to control full flow of mains pressure to hose used to fill hot tub, water garden etc.

WiFi or zwave, no cloud requirement preferably.

Anyone have something tried and tested?

Thanks,

You can combine a relay type (on/off) module with a 12v power supply and sprinkler valve (orbit etc). That’s what I use. (Except I use an Elk Output module for the relay control).

In future plan to buy this smaller: Woox R7060 Smart Garden Irrigation Control - Products from WOOX UK

I use esphome with relays (and valves)

The Woox device looks interesting - I wonder if anyone has used it with ZHA on Home Assistant, and not via the Woox Zigbee hub?

I was lucky enough to get the “WaterCop” branded version of the FortreZ Zwave valve for less than $100(!) when I bought it. (They’re much more expensive now. I don’t know why.)
If I were doing it today, I’d take wuench’s advice and get an low-voltage powered valve and a z-wave switch. Here’s another option for the valve:

It works with deconz
