Hi - looking for a recommendation for a device to go on (or on supply to) an outside tap. This is to control full flow of mains pressure to hose used to fill hot tub, water garden etc.
You can combine a relay type (on/off) module with a 12v power supply and sprinkler valve (orbit etc). That’s what I use. (Except I use an Elk Output module for the relay control).
I was lucky enough to get the “WaterCop” branded version of the FortreZ Zwave valve for less than $100(!) when I bought it. (They’re much more expensive now. I don’t know why.)
If I were doing it today, I’d take wuench’s advice and get an low-voltage powered valve and a z-wave switch. Here’s another option for the valve: Amazon.com: Motorized Ball Valve- 3/4", 9-24V DC by U.S. Solid
