Recommendations for an AVR that integrates with HA?

I’m in the process of planning a basement renovation that will involve a home theatre install. I don’t know much about AVRs other than basic functionality but reading through various setups, connecting a 4K projector, a couple game consoles, and 4-5 piece speakers would require an AVR for optimal performance and switching.

A quick search recommended Denon as a good starting point and Yamaha and other brands on the higher end.

I am looking for local control in HA that has good performance and won’t break the bank.

Depends on what you want to do exactly, but I’d say the basics are well covered for all the major brands (Denon, Yamaha, Onkyo, etc.).

For playing music I’d recommend Music Assistant.
