I am new to Home Assistant and would like to get some recommendations regarding smart relays, thermostats and rollershutter modules.
For relays and shutters i have considered either cheap aliexpress modules and maybe flashing them or shelly modules but i have read that wifi modules are very power hungry compared to zigbee or zwave. Any thoughts? Did anyone meassure the difference in power draw?
For smart thermostats i have no idea what to look out for.
I would appreciate some suggestions. Ideally it needs to be available in Europe/Germany and have a great compatibility wirh Home Assistant. Thanks in advance!
Are you looking for battery powered devices? If not, just ignore power consumption and choose reliable devices.
If Shelly has something that match your need, don’t waist you time with aliexpress gadgets.

I forgot to add that i don’t want any battery powered devices. My concern with power is that it adds up. When i would have 50+ devices does going for wifi instead of zwave or zigbee impact my energy consumption in any meaningful way? I mean the modules would run 24/7 the whole year.
