Recommendations on electric roller shutters capable of being integrated into HA

Hello
Could anyone recommend window rolelr blinds that can be integrated with HA? Preferably wired and without attached motors,( i.e., those that make existing “manual blinds” , such electric). I am in the process of buying complete roller blinds and if necessary I am able to build some kind of controller. The point is not to “rediscover America” and, in turn, not to buy some “closed hardware” that will be difficult or at great expense to integrate into HA.

I simply bought ‘dumb’ electric roller shutters and used these to integrate them into HA.

Um, usually motors and controllers are needed to make ‘manual’ blinds smart, unless you have Jeeves come around, open the blinds, put the slippers next to your bed, pass you a cup of tea and ask ‘will there be anything else sir?’ In which case why are you needing to automate anything?

Hint: Jeeves has a particular uppercrust British accent. We got rid of the Yank - he was too brash. The Mexican was too loud. The wires hanging from the blinds were to hang the Halloween decorations. Casper the ghost lives in the scullery, usually. The servants keep him busy so he doesnt get bored and come upstairs during the night. Actually, he has been part of castle folklore since my great-great grandfather disappeared in mysterious circumstances.

Happy Halloween!

Bali Roller Blinds

I have the cellular double wall. Their motors are Z wave and work flawlessly with HA. I have a Zooz 800 LE controller.

Thank you for your suggestions. Hmm, I have the luxury that due to the renovation in the apartment , I am able to lay any cable I can think of. As a result, I won’t need to base my home network structure on electromagnetic waves. Wireless connectivity has its advantages for mobile solutions, but not for fixed solutions. This goes against the global trend and the solutions available for purchase. Most of them are based on wireless connectivity and convenient to install. The disadvantages are not mentioned by anyone.

With this query I had in mind a solution similar to the one below. It appeared, admittedly, already 6 years ago, hence I thought that maybe there are already solutions that have nicely integrated elements, which would be enough only to throw in some alternative firmware (e.g. Tasmota) without a lot of combining. Admittedly, it concerns the electromotive arm , and not the said curtains, but we understand each other basic principle is the same .

DrZzs - Motorized Window Opening!

A hardwired relay, imitating an up/down switch, with two limit switches at either end of travel sounds like a solurion that should be robust and easy to implement.

Of course, you still need motors…

Well, precisely the absolute minimum is the executive component, i.e. motor+roller+shutter. If I found window blinds(like this actuator in the video) it would be enough for me to add a controller.

Option no.2 is the “ready-made curtain” mentioned at the beginning (let it be with remote control) which could be easily connected to HA.

I need 6+1 customizable (size) window roller shutters.
