Hi folks,
I’m looking into renovating my bathroom some time soon and I need to decide on a valve to put on my radiator. The one I have is a generic Moes one, the same one I’ve fitted on all other radiators in my house. They work fine and I have no qualms with them, but since day 1 I installed and immediately removed it in my bathroom as I’m quite sure it will not survive for long with all the moisture.
I’ve asked for some smart recommendations from my plumber but he’s only familiar with Tado and Honeywell. Both are a no-go as they use their own protocol and want you to use their gateway and cloud service. (iirc Honeywell does allow local access, but I’d prefer not having to install a useless gateway that phones home).
I wonder if you guys know of some TRV’s that integrate well with HA (through Z2MQTT) and are not likely to rust and fail within a couple months.
I’ve found some good deals on some Bosch TRV’s, but it appears these aren’t supported and neither do they look bathroom-proof. Better than my moes ones, but they don’t inspire confidence.
If it helps I’m from NL, so American exclusive recommendations are not going to work.
Or I’m just paranoid and it will just work. A possibility.
Thanks
