Build a web interface to manage the Recorder (ie list recordered entities, how many and size)
Allow config of what to record and not records
Allow retention of specific entities with different lengths, ie Weather and energy I would like 365 days, others like a light switch status 10 days
Allow for purge to also lighten data, example If I records all states of somthing, but after 90 days delete to 1 state chg per 5 min, then after 365 delete.
I would ahve details for 90 days, then save space with 5 min intervals, then delete
But a web interface would allow you to add/change items.
Any new sensors would auto be added to record, and flag as new in last 30 days or somthing so you can thendecide if need to block
