I have a tapo c210 camera and i am using tapo control to detect a motion and then start a recording and store it in the media folder. This works with the automation.
I have an additional automation in which I use Folderwatcher to check on the media folder for newly created files with *.mp4 extension and upload them to one drive.
Here I have the issue that not the complete file is uploaded ( only a few seconds of a 60 sec video €
Anyone have a clue why?
The file is created by the tapo, but it is not filled with data from the start.
Your folderrwatcher detect the file right away and copies the incomplete file.
Thanks for the response. This is not the case here. A tmp file is created for that.
I also used modified instead of created from folderwatcher. And it starts also after 1 minute of recording time. But still the file is just a few seconds long.
Any other idea?
Ok maybe you were right. I added a waiting 5 seconds before the upload that worked.
Yeah, it is always tricky with trying to get devices working together, when their behaviour is a black box.
