I need to look into a specific file in 1 of my older snapshots (need to retrieve a config file which resides in the config\esphome folder. I thought of downloading a snapshot and extracting it. I did so and found all kinds of relevant files with the exception of this one.
Does anyone know where the esphome .yaml configs are stored inside a snapshot?
The yaml files are in the root of /config/esphome/
Not in the /config/esphome/device_name folder.
I know, but there is no folder called “esphome” in /config… When I extract that this is what I am getting from a folder perspective…
Are you using the esphome addon?
I am and find the files here, 3bd639b7.tar ---> homeassistant.tar.gz ---> /esphome
I am indeed using the esphome addon, but the mentioned folder isn’t in homeassistant.tar.gz…
Found the culprit: I installed esphome by adding it via a custom respository. After installing the “standard” version I can now find the \config\esphome directory inside the backup files.
