Recovering from defective micro SD card

Since using HA I have had two micro SD cards go bad.
Both times, recovery has been very painful. It would be awesome if you could install the latest image on the new card and have your latest saved snapshot on a USB flash drive where HA boots up with your saved configuration.

That’s possible. Check this post. Have you backup up your snapshot? E.g. on google drive?

FWIW, there are utilities to automatically copy snapshots elsewhere, like this one:

I have so far only backed up to USB flash drives.

As long as you have a backup that’s not on your corrupted sd card you’re good :wink:
