Reference to lists of hardware manufacturers of home automation products?

Relatively new to home automation, I find myself reinventing the wheel every time I start looking a product to do X. For instance, I want a motion sensor for our 2-light walk in closet. I start looking at bulb manufacturers, then motion sensors, then I see that Wyze has a light bulb socket that powers their cameras… and down the rabbit hole I go. Forgetting for the moment that I’ll want it to integrate with my home-asssitant install, I’m all over the place.

So, I’m hoping there is a master list or database you all might recommend that helps looking for products and mfrs in different home automation categories. So that I could use it to narrow down what I’m looking for.

Suggestions? References?

Thanks @pwgdrx I don’t use Zigbee, but that’s a good reference.
I don’t want cause any raised torches, but I’m just starting with all this, I’m still using all Wifi and haven’t jumped into either Zwave or Zigbee - don’t know which road to travel. Still hoping that HA allows that to be a bit of a non-issue.
