In my endeavour to smarten up my pool I have now also refurbished my chlorinator after the original motor broke. The peristaltic pump is now controlled by an ESPHome device connected to a 12V DC reduction gear motor. This approach not only saved me hundreds of dollars compared to buying a new chlorinator, but I can now also align the chlorinator’s duty cycle with the pool pump.
