Refused to connect error - unable to access HA via web

Hi all. I’ve had some trouble with Home Assistant on a Raspberry PI 3B and just received a new ODroid N2+ with Home Assistant preinstalled on eMMC. I have it powered up and connected to my network via ethernet. I can’t connect to it via a browser and get a “refused to connect” error regardless of whether I try homeassistant.local:8123 or IP:8123.

  • The device shows on my network and I’m able to ping the IP address.
  • I connected a monitor to the ODroid and Home Assistant is running and shows the expected IP as well as Home Assistant url.
  • I tried some steps found on these forums, such as checking the time (date time is accurate)
  • I’ve checked firewalls and other network settings (Omada) and have found nothing that should block access

I’m stumped, frustrated and dying to get Home Assistant up and running again. Any and all help appreciated.

Sounds like you have checked all the standard stuff.

Where did you get a preinstalled version from? Can you re-flash it?

I got it from AmeriDroid. Thing is, I’ve had similar access issues with RasPi devices in the past. Makes me think the issue is on my network but I haven’t found anything that looks off. I’ll try to re-flash!

Is the ODroid on the same subnet as the computer you are trying to access it via? I.e. it’s not a network firewall (port 8123 blocked) that is causing the problem is it?

Hi @DrenchedDingo where you able to solve this issue? I just got my ODROID-N2+ and I am experiencing the same thing… would you mind sharing what you did?

Thanks in advance!!
