I have a new HASS install using the 12.4 VDI. I have an install on a dell optiplex which is plugged into my router over ethernet. The HA virtual machine starts and drops me on the boot page with no issues. I try and connect HA local using all methods I can (http://IPADDRESS:8123 http://homeassistant.local:8123 ect.). I am able to ping the IPV4 address on any device in my network. I am able to open the supervisor page using :4357 and all is good. However, I cannot get to the HA local instance using :8123. It tells me the connection is refused every time. Any advice?
Mmm, sounds weird. I have a similar setup, and sometimes I get unexpected things like this as well, which I blame on my router but I can’t be 100% sure it is that or Vbox. Have you tried restarting the host system? That works for me quite often.
Done multiple restarts on all systems involved. I am worried it has something to do with my router. I have a Xfinity and use their modem/router combo. First time setting up HA on this new network after a recent move.
Had outdated HASS version. Using the latest fixed it.
