Reinstalled HA. Trouble setting up Z-Wave

Had to reinstall HA because I installed something in parallel that messed up my pi. Everything now works fine, except when I put in the configuration line in the configuration.yaml file homeassistant never loads (I checked with systemctl in the command line). It’s not the syntax, and I double checked which USB port the stick is stuck into from the command line. I use
zwave:
usb_path: /dev/ttyACM0

My log files doesn’t say much.

Anyone know if it’s a problem with the z wave stick not being properly reset? I don’t know how to reset the z stick from the command line because the manual button pushing stuff doesn’t seem to reset it.

What version of HA are you on?

After the 0.45.1 release my configuration.yaml looks like this.

zwave:
  usb_path: /dev/zwave
  config_path: /usr/local/lib/python3.4/dist-packages/libopenzwave-0.3.2-py3.4-linux-armv7l.egg/config
  device_config: !include zwave_device_config.yaml

I don’t remember putting in the config_path and device_config lines. I think it may have been done for me when I updated some polling values on my sensors. But it may be required now.

Thanks. Should I just try copying and pasting what you wrote?

not unless your configuration is the same which I doubt. Are you sure your zwave stick is at that device?

So when you put the zwave section into your configruation.yaml file, HA neverloads at all, or just doesn’t get past the zwave load? Can you include the relevant sections of your config indented properly and the log file? What do you mean by you checked with systemctl in the command line? Have you run

hass --script check_config

does it come back ok?
