Reliable LED strip driver/controllers

Dear all,

I currently have several different type of Tuya / MiBoxer led strip drivers/controllers installed, which identify as the following types in Z2M:

  • MiBoxer FUT036Z
  • Tuya TS05051B
  • Tuya TS0505B_1

Apart from that I have about 20~ Hue GU10 RGBWW spots installed and some conventional dimmable LED lights that are controlled through a Schneider Electric zigbee controller.

The reliability of the MiBoxer/Tuya devices listed above is mediocre, sometimes they respond reliably for a few days, then they won’t respond or have a multi-second delay, or go on and immediately off again. It does appear that controlling them directly (individually) works a tad more reliable than through scenes, but it’s still not flawless.

All the HUE spots and Schneider Electric zigbee stuff works flawless, 100% reliable.

I’ve searched a lot on this forum and Reddit and the general response people get when asking about the Tuya devices is that they are indeed not so reliable, though there is some variation. I’m very willing to pay good bucks for a decent Zigbee LED strip controller, only I can’t find which one I should buy.

Can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the replies guys. Before I try to switch to WLED, I really hope that there are reliable Zigbee led drivers out there. There must be people out here who have positive experiences with certain brands, right? (-:
