Reload blueprint after changing an option

Hi,
I’ve just started building some blueprints. To test them, I would like to edit the automation from the UI where I can change entities, booleans, etc. However, after saving it, when I execute the automation, it still runs with the original presettings, despite showing the new ones when editing it. I’ve tried reloading the automations and all the yaml but had no luck. What’s the best course of action?
Thanks

This seems to always work for me. Unless it is a script or template blueprint, then you have to reload that.

It is a blueprint automation, yes. Does reloading just the automation do the trick for you, or do you reload all yaml / reboot?

This works for me, well reloading automations, maybe that is a different thing.
go to your dashboard, type c, then type aut then click it.

I wasted time yesterday wondering why the error I was getting while working on a Blueprint keep appearing. Until I noticed that if the error is when you’re saving an Automation (from a Blueprint), whatever you change in that Blueprint isn’t being seen until you reload the Automations! I wish they would rename ‘Automations’ in the Developer Tools tab to ‘Automations and Blueprints’.

  • Well, if you are editing a script blueprint you would need to reload scripts.
  • If you are editing a template blueprint, you would need to reload templates.
  • And of course if you are editing an automation blueprint, you would need to reload automations.
