What the difference between reload core and restart server? Why would I do one rather than the other. Also, a server is a machine. HA runs as a service. If you want to restart the server, it sounds like you are rebooting the server not just restarting the app. Sorry, years of people telling me the server is down when really the application just had a database lock.
No, I agree it could be better worded. I think of HA as a service rather than a “server”. My “server” is the platform I am running it on. I could be wrong, but this is how I think of it.
And in the reload section, why not define what “Some parts” are? Show what actually gets reloaded.
Actually in my experience the Reload Core button doesn’t reload the configuration.yaml file. Any time I make changes to my configuration I have to restart the app, unless i just need to reload one of the other sections (automations, groups, scripts)
