Is there an underlying reason why sensors are currently NOT able to be reloaded?
This request is to allow ( like groups, scripts, scenes, etc. ) both sensors and binary_sensors to be reloaded via config instead of a full restart.
I’m guessing so, otherwise someone would have done it already.
