Remote access to HA Docker host

Hello,
I am new here in the forum and have a question about a configuration problem.

I have installed Home Assistant Operating System on a x86-64 system. s runs well and stable but I noticed that the power consumption of the computer is quite high, 20 - 30 kwh. I find this a lot and wanted to make some adjustments on the host to reduce power consumption.

Since I can not access and configure the host system from the container, I looked for a way to log in directly on the host to configure the power consumption with tlp - unfortunately in vain.

Is there a way to do this? It would be useful if you could also configure the host system to your needs (that’s my opinion).

My computer is an Acer Veriton N4640G

With kind regards
Torsten

See if this is of any assistance:

Oh cool, this seems to be exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks, I will share if and how it worked out

Hi,
I wanted to get back to you.

So yes, your tip was very good, but the host system is extremely stripped down so there is no way to install your own packages with apt or dpkg. At least I did not find any.

Since I do not like a system where I have no way to influence the host, I will now set up my own server.

I think the work will be worth it because the HA is otherwise absolutely great.
