Remote Access via iOS App doesn't work but URL on same device does?

Hey folks,

I’m trialing NabuCasa’s remote access. I have it enabled in HAOS (running on dedicated hardware). The UI tells me that it’s connected to the cloud server and gives me a connection URL. Remote is enabled.

I’m logged into my iPhone/iOS companion app, off of WiFi (on cell) and I get a “Server with the specified hostname cannot be found. NSURLErrorDomain -1003” error.

So I texted myself the NabuCasa URL (long thing) and bam it works fine. I was able to connect to the server and login.

tl;dr App connection doesn’t work but browser connection does work.

I’ve tried logging out and logging back in to all of the devices. Disabling and re-enabling remote. Not sure what’s going on.

I think I have the same issue.

I have a Nabu Casa subscription. Iphone companion app works fine in the house (on known wifi SSID, so using internal address). When I am outside the house, I get same unknown error, plus a will retry in xx seconds message.

This used to work fine - have only noticed it in the past few weeks, although I dont often use homeassistant outside the house.

I am currently on HA (Container) 2024.5.4

I’ve since moved to the Nabu Casa subscription as of yesterday and it still doesn’t work. It only works when I’m on WiFi. Kind of frustrating because I’m getting ready to go out of town.

Mine has been working fine since I updated.

Using Nabu Casa (always was), also using 2024.6 container.

Perhaps there was also an update for the iPhone app - I think I have that on auto updates.

Same issue on Android. I am connected via Nabu Casa and the url works when I’m off WiFi but the app doesn’t work.

Have the same issue but local hosted with dyndns. At some time in the past it worked smoothly but this changed suddenly. Working ration is like 2/5 very unstable
