I’m having since issues with my device_trackers. I had my HA working with port forwarding and all that but recently switched over to nabu Casa. The device trackers are 2 Android Pixel phones (6-series). It used to update location/battery/etc before but now that I’ve removed the integrations related to the DIY remote access and moved to nabu Casa, I only get updates when connected to the home network. So it looks like the issue lies in being connected locally via wifi vs cellular service.
I’ve tried the steps in the troubleshooting doc. Location, battery, background access, etc is all enabled or set to the required settings. In the companion app settings I have ‘use cloud’ enabled. My home network SSID is listed. The internal connect url is http://192.x.x.x:8123/. What am I missing? Been searching around for days to find a solution. Thanks!
are you sure the remote URL is enabled and working?
Settings > Companion App > show and share logs will also help understand the issue.
Thank you so much. After your suggestion I went back in to check everything AGAIN and I unchecked the ‘use cloud’ switch. It listed the old duckdns url. I didn’t think it mattered since when you select use cloud that url field disappears. But I changed it anyway to my nabu casa link. Then I turned the ‘use cloud’ switch back on. So far it’s working so I think that fixed it. Thanks again for helping me!
