Remote Calendar Integration - Setup (Invalid .ics with google link)

I’m trying to play with the new remote calendar integration and cant get it to add my google calendar. Has anyone got this working yet?
Here are my steps and where I fail:

  1. Opened google calendar and went to settings
  2. Selected specific calendar I want
  3. Checked “Make available to public”
  4. Copied “Public Address in iCal format”
  5. In home assistant added “Remote Calendar Integration”
  6. Named calendar (I have it same name as in google but I don’t know if thats required).
  7. Pasted in link to google calendar ICS (from step 4)
  8. Submit - it attempts to add but errors with “Invalid .ics file”

  9. Went back to google and copied “Secret address in iCal format” - I thought I’d try that also
  10. When Submit with secret url gives same error “invalid .ics file”

Anyone have success and tips they can share? Thank you so much!!

Searched for my issue, and found we are having the same one. The remote calendar will not read the Google Calendar ical URL.
