Hello all
For a couple of days, I have been trying to reconnect with my home assistant ( I moved house).
In my new house, I changed provided and moved country, and my new router is a fritz box.
I opened the TCP port 8123 and 443 of my router, but I noted that the fritz box assigned an external IP address for my home assistant. Once I am moving back to my ducksdns, the IP that is getting is one of my routers and not one of my home assistants.
I tried to open the dydns router by adding my ducksdns Domine , but nothing changed. I input my home assistant external IP address into duckdns, changing it manually. It’s working for couple of minutes, but then it’s moving back to my router IP address.
In my home assistant, I have got duckdns addon, let’s encrypt that I used previously.
Can someone help me to understand how I should fix this issue?
Thanks a lot to all
Anyone can help me ?
Do you get a public ip or is there a nat between the internet and your fritzbox? Normally you can find out when you watch your ip on whatismyip.com and the public ip which is shown on your fritzbox. If they are different then you are natted. Normally you can request a public ip from your ip for free
Hi, thanks for coming back to me.
My public IP address is the same of the one of my router .
My only issue is that fritzbox allow you to open ports of the router based on application. I selected Homeassistant and automatically created an Ip4 external IP address that is different from my public one .
I will check for nat configuration
