i don’t know what is going on.
i have been running remote devices for at least 5 years and suddenly 5h ago they all stopped working. i have remote devices on 2 locations.
The thing is that ESP devices are still connecting to the broker just fine.
The problem is whit Tasmota devices.
Have any one experienced the same problem?
And, suddenly they started working.
I still don’t know what was the problem.
I have installed mosquitto client on my PC in one of the remote locations and successfully connected to my broker.
But i did not see any activity from my devices in the broker log and suddenly there they were. can’t explain this at all. it was like something was jamming the MQTT port on the broker but only for tasmota devices.

Were they still connected to wifi during this period - was it only mqtt having a problem? Do you have any other non-tasmota devices that were able to play with your broker?
Yes they were connected to wifi. and yes i had other ESPHome devices from the same locations that were connected to the broker.
only the tasmota devices were having problems.
i tested the protocol from my laptop connected to the same wifi on site were the problematic devices are and it was working normally, a even try to connect with wrong pass just to see if there will be activity in the broker log, and it was.
strange thing is that i didn’t see any activity from the remote tasmota devices, only from the local tasmota devices and remote ESPHome devices which connected to the broker just fine.
i even try to reinstall the broker, restarted all the router’s, devices and HA. nothing helped.
i don’t know is it coincidence or not but i upgraded the firmware on one of the devices when they all started working again.
it did it again, remote tasmotas stoped connecting to mqtt broker. after 2-3 hours they started working again.
no activity in the mqtt log from the remote tasmota devices.
the connection from the remote network to the HA mqtt broker was tested and working.
other remote ESPHome devices are connecting whit no problem.
