Remote setup url doubles \\ for every 1x \ given

trying to setup remote access and following instructions here:

when adding the duckdns url … it errors as follows
“”
expected a URL for dictionary value @ data[‘external_url’]. Got ‘https:\\redacted.duckdns.org:8123’
“”
redacted is not the name. I just changed it for the screen shot, i get the same for the actual one i setup

it seems the error doubles every back slash I enter, could that be the issue that somewhere ti is parsing it strangely but not consistent!? note: if i add 2 after https: I get 4 in the error … although just putting in 1 seems to not work either as you see:

tried with https and got a different error, but i guess that is not the way to do it as the help text in the space dictates to enter with “https:\”

any ideas how to fix this?

URLs use forward slashes, https://... not backslashes https:\\...
