Remove integration from the codebase or not?

Heya,

Long ago I wrote the integration for Ziggo Mediabox XL. Ziggo, the provider handing out these devices, now actively encourages people not to connect the box to the home network.

I got a new box some time ago, and also can’t get it to work with home assistant anymore. Should I drop all traces of the integration from home assistant, or just leave it there, in case some lucky person still use it?

IMO:

  1. Add an alert (see the bottom of the [alerts page])(https://alerts.home-assistant.io/)
  2. Add a warning to the docs telling people they should no longer use it
  3. Deprecate it

Then remove in a future release
