Hi,
I want to remove one of my installed zwave gadget. I want to call remove_node service from Developer tools but I dont knw the syntax for the Service Data field. I will be happy if anyone could help me with that. I understand I need to add the id for my gadget but i need to know the syntax.
I don’t believe you need to specify anything. Simply call the service and follow the unpairing instructions for the device you want to remove (normally pressing a button or something similiar – just like how you paired it).
Do you maybe have open zwave control panel running as well? Seems that HA has issues locking the controller since it is in use by something else. Do other z-wave commands (switch something on/off) work without issues?
Hmm, I used just the node id # (3) and did not get a syntax error but it also did not remove anything. I restarted HA as well to see and the dead node is still there.
I had a dead node, but if you remove_failed_node you have to give it some payload. It says so underneath. So to remove the a certain node, add “{ node_id: 1 }” for example as data.
if value is a number - then there should be no quotes around the value
if value is a text, then it is a string and has to be inside quotes. So: {"variable_name":1} {"variable_name":"some text"}
And in this case it should be: {"node_id": 1 }
ANd you can pass more than one variable like this: {"variable1":value1, "variable2":value2}
