I’m trying to polish the logbook. Is there a way to use filters capturing specific device events?
For example, my presence sensor always log both “motion sensor detected motion” and “motion sensor cleared” which is quite annoying, and I would only log the detect event.

No. Logbook shows what is recorded by recorder.
If you exclude an entity from recorder, it will disappear from Logbook but it will also cease recording the entity’s history. Basically, it’s all or nothing.
The only “filtering” you can currently do is select a single entity in Logbook and display its history (assuming you haven’t excluded it from recorder).
