I have a node which hardware is failing. I’m unable to perform any actions with is, so it’s impossible to start a remove node.
In home-assistant, the z-wave Control panel states the node as complete and working, which isn’t true. Therefore, I’m unable to use the remove failed node-command due to it’s not on the failed node list.
Do you have any ideas how I should proceed to be able to remove it? I’m getting the device replaced by the vendor but I need to get rid of the old failing one. I did some searching and found that it’s possible to remove it from my zwcfg_xxxxx.xml file, but is this the only way?
Removing it from zwcfg*.xml won’t remove it. You could use the Z-Wave control panel to select the node, then select each entity and tick Exclude this entity from Home Assistant followed by Save each time.
