Removing duckdns (for a test)

I currently have home assistant companion (HAC) communicating with my rpi (IOS and icloud3) having enabled duckdns. I have found that HAC is only sporadically sending zone changes to my rpi and I suspect it may have something to do with duckdns. For a test, I’d like to uninstall and remove duckdns.

Apparently it’s not as simple as just uninstalling it in the hass.io dashboard. Home assistant companion won’t fully connect with IOS…I can connect to see the overview screen by directly addressing my home server:8123 but I can’t send a manual trigger…I get an error message.

If I reinstall duckdns on the rpi, and address through duckdns.org, everything works again.

Is there a way to uninstall duckdns so everything works?

Did you ever find a solution? I’m in the same boat right now and it’s in my very first backup.
