Renewing LetsEncrypt on my Netgear router

I’m trying to follow the steps/guide located here:

I setup my HA exactly 90 days ago and just have been using it to do it’s thing and now I need to renew, going through the bullet points listed it makes sense to me except “You are not currently running anything on port 80 on your network (you’d know if you were).” I’m pretty much a newbie with most of this stuff, followed mostly Bruh videos to get my system how I wanted it and haven’t messed around too much the last few months. When I went to do the port 80 on my Netgear Genie WNDR4300 router just now I get an error message that says “The specified port(s) are being used by other configurations. Please check your configurations of USB Readyshare, Remote Management, Port forwarding, Port Triggering, UPnP Port Mapping table, RIP, and Internet connection type”. Not sure what to do now, I do have a USB Readyshare running but I can’t see where it’s using port 80 and nothing else is setup in my forwarding list besides ports 443 and 8123 from when I completed my initial setup.

I believe I can follow the steps once I figure out where port 80 is being used by my router to turn it off temporarily. Any insight from others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My guess (bearing in mind I’ve been up all night so this guess could be influenced by dancing unicorns) would be that your router has some kind of funky “share your media securely over the Internet” feature on it and that’s using port 80.

Have a look in the manual at any advanced features like that, switch them off, and see if that works?

Or, you can temporarily change your port forwarding to 443 - 443 and run a slightly different renewal command iirc. Then change it back to 443 - 8123 after renewal.

I wrote the guide, so I should be a bit more helpful, but my brain is mush right now :smile:

Thanks for the reply. I’m fine with temporarily changing 443 - 443 and running the different command but I would need to know what the different command is. While I’m at work today I’ll see if I can figure out the port 80 situation though and if that doesn’t work check back with you tonight. Thanks!
