Reolik + home Assistant and google devices

Guys,

I am using Nabu casa to integrate home assistant with my google devices, now I have Reolink cameras with motion detections.
I want to set up my Reolik camera to detect motion and send a notification to home assistant and have home assistant notify me on my google devices, maybe show me the camera on my google display. Anyone knows how can I get this done? I am not an expert on home assistant so the easiest explanation the better, please.

Please, share more details so the community can assist you better.
Which Reolink cameras do you have? Are they connected through POE? Wifi? Do you directly connect to them, or are you using an NVR?
Have you been able to integrate them into HA? Which integration/method have you used?

I’ve done something very similar to what you intend to do, but I’m pretty sure that depending on the method of connection to the cameras, the details will vary.
I have the cameras model RLK8-810B4-A, POE cameras connected through an NVR, and I use reolink_dev to integrate them with HA. Once they appear in the devices section, you’ll have several entities: person/vehicle/motion detected, etc., and an RTSP stream to the camera. With those, you can create easy automation through the UI that’ll cast the cameras to your Google Home.

To answer your questions:

  1. I am using Reolink RLC-520A
  2. They are all POE
  3. I do not use any NVR, I direct connect using the native Reolink app
  4. I can call them on my google display by name and google shows me the live feed.
  5. I have not integrated them into HA as of now, I know there is a Hacs integration I can use to bring them into Home assistant but I haven’t done it yet.
