Hi guys!
So far a lower bitrate gives me a much more stable experience, yet I’m afraid it comes with the expense of accurate object detection.
What are your experiences regarding the bitrate settings of Reolink cameras?

I have 3 Reolink cameras and have never changed the bitrate. I am running frigate for object detection, I am not using any inboard or reolink object detection.
Back when I used reolink cameras I definitely had some which had awful stutter on iframes with higher bitrates. Lowering the bitrate won’t matter for object detection because the object detection is run on a cropped / resized frame anyway.
Is this the case for frigate or the inbuilt software?
their inbuilt AI isn’t running on the stream it is running on the raw frames from the camera so that is irrelevant, what I was saying is the case for things like frigate
