Reolink. Checking the fact of recording in the internal memory of the camera

Future request for Reolink IP NVR/camera. Checking the fact of recording in the internal memory of the camera.

In some cases, the camera may stop writing to the internal memory (SD card). This is an error, Reolink does not send information about the error to its application. Such an error can be identified by comparing the last detection (motion+person+vehicle+pet) and the time of the last recording to the internal memory. I can make a sensor for the last detection, but I can’t make a sensor for the last record. Is it possible to implement a write check to internal memory? Or implement a time sensor for the last entry?

@starkillerOG

A write check to internal memory is not possible.

Due to some techniqual details it is hard but not impossible to create a sensor for the last recording.
It requires quite some camera resources to request the list of all recordings of the camera, so I don’t want to be doing that each 1 minute during a polling update.
If you would only request the recording for the last lets say 2 minutes, it could be possible, but not sure how intensive that is on the camera.

In any case it will cost me quite some time and effort to implement that, and I don’t think many people would have a usecase for such a sensor.
Therefore I will not start working on it right away, maybe I will get to it some time, but I have a long list of stuff I would like to implement…
