Hi,
It would be great if a binary sensor could be added to tell if the camera is currently in night mode IR or normal colour day mode.
This would allow as a trigger for light/dark based automation.
Cheers

I donāt think the cameras themselves actually expose that as a property. I was digging through mine, and I donāt see any indicators in the app or the web frontend that show if the camera is in a particular mode. AFAIK, the integration uses whatās available on the web frontend.
Good suggestion, I just donāt think itās possible due to Reolinkās firmware.
Hi Bill,
Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I was worried this might be the case as it would be so usefully for many of the things bouncing around my head.
I wonder how open reolink are to suggestions.
I believe they have an api but any wrappers Iāve seen donāt seem to have a āgetā for that piece of info.
Hopefully someone can come along and prove us wrong.
lol take a look around their forumsā¦ to say they are āopenā to suggestions is stretching it a bit. They usually give the typical āWeāve passed this on to [this] team. Thanks for the feedback!ā response to pretty much anything.
I love their cameras, but the company is sorely lacking most times.
